The GOTS-certified British wool we use maintains perfect flexibility within the wool fibres so that the strands bounce back again and again, crucial to enhancing the properties of wool, helping it to:

  • Wick away moisture, removing heat when you're hot and insulating you when you're cold
  • Reduce the moisture held in your mattress, vastly increasing the healthy airflow and creating a mould free internal environment
  • Completely deter dust mites from being in or breeding on the organic wool, reducing asthma and allergies
  • Naturally resist bacteria and fungus growth

Most manufacturers will not use organic wool because of the prohibitive cost, especially as it is much harder to machine, prepare and manage, but we know it's well worth it!

When purchasing a natural mattress with no foams, rubber or latex materials inside, one is confronted with a brand new smell. Instead of it being the scent of glue, rubber, or foam, this mattress will smell of a beautiful field with horses. The smell dissipates quickly and poses absolutely no harm from 'forever chemicals' found in man-made foams, chemical fire retardant sprays, rubber, latex, glue, and so on.

All of the wool within our mattresses is from British sheep and has been GOTS-certified!

This mattress is single-sided, making it more lightweight and easier to rotate from time to time rather than needing to turn it over.
